WHO WE ARE

TekA Orthopaedics is a specialist medical technology company focused on the development of the worlds best outcome joint replacement and alignment technologies. TekA is committed to a programme of rigorous and ongoing product improvement, working in close association with leading surgeons worldwide.

OUR VISION & MISSION

To relentlessly engage the best minds, seek alternate methods and maximise relevant expertise to bring about advancements in technology to improve surgical techniques whilst driving efficiencies, making for improved and sustainable patient outcomes.

HOW IT WORKS

REAL TIME MONITORING

The TekA system enables surgeons to “pre-configure” individual patient safe zones into the THR system. The TekA system compares “actual” placement during surgery to “desired” placement and gives the surgeon a real time reference point ensuring accuracy of placement.

SENSORS

The TekA system provides data from the ‘live’ sensors (without the use of invasive reference arrays) in use during surgery to feed back to the core software platform. This platform can be expanded to include additional inputs.

ALIGNMENT DATA

The data is provided to the surgical team on an interpretive graphical display. Patient movement during an operation is detected and adjustments made by the technology to navigate instrumentation and align the implant accurately.

WHO IT IS FOR

BENEFIT GOALS

SURGEONS

Real-time monitoring

Enabling achievement of individual pre-set alignment.

Data capture during reaming and impaction.

Standardization of procedure and the TekA navigation improves the accuracy of cup alignment to desired surgical goals.

Improved reaming accuracy through real time feedback.

Optimised and useful alignment data from operations/procedure for training purposes.

PATIENTS

Providing an advanced platform for accurate reaming to prevent unnecessary bone resection.

Enabling realtime feedback of cup alignment to reduce risk of revision.

Increase potential for prosthesis longevity due to prevention of “misalignment”.

HEALTH FUNDERS

Reduce average procedure costs due to reduced revisions.

Reduced membership allocation.
